Cone bearing plants, also known as gymnosperms, are a unique group of plants that reproduce through cones instead of flowers. They were among the first plants to conquer the land,and they were the dominant group of plants during the Jurassic and Triassic periods, and many species still exist today. Although they are less diverse than angiosperms, they show us the rich history of plantlife.
